But your player character will be able to switch between two handed, dual wielding, one handed & weapon as they like. You'll need to create unique animations for each of them. Third is to create "dual weapon sets", that have similar properties to two handed weapons in that they seal up the "shield" slot. The problem with that though, is that it doesn't prevent the player from using a two handed weapon, in combination with a one handed weapon that provides the "dual wield" effect. As well as allowing you to create shield based skills, that are only usable when you have a shield equipped. Then one handed weapons have the "dual wield" property in the slot, & provide the ability to equip the "shield" weapon type. Second, you can make shield into a weapon, that improves defense. However, in both menu & shop inventories, the "off hand weapons" will appear under the armor slot.
